Hello beauties and happy April! Recently I was contacted by a brand asking if I would like to try some of their natural haircare, specifically a shampoo. Of course, me being all about new and especially natural products, I was definitely down to clown.
Anyway, I did some research, liked what I saw, and agreed to try the product. I received it shortly thereafter and immediately put it to the test. Needless to say, this has now replaced all other shampoos in my shower and I need more ASAP!
I do want to preface this review by saying that this product was sent to me free of charge, however, that in no way shapes my review. This review is 100% honest from my experience. I am not an affiliate with this brand, nor am I being paid for this review.

My Experience & Thoughts
Upon first receiving this product, I noticed the smell was absolutely delightful! It’s like a caramel sundae that isn’t overpowering, but just delicious. The texture of the shampoo itself is actually very silky, as strange as that sounds. However, I suppose that’s a good thing considering its called the Silk18 Shampoo!
Anyway, during my first use in the shower I noticed that this shampoo lathered very well for being on the natural side and it didn’t feel like it was stripping my hair. According to the directions, after lathering you need to let the product sit on the hair for a few minutes to achieve the maximum benefits. I let it sit for probably about two minutes and then rinsed. I followed up with my normal conditioner afterwards.
My hair did not feel stripped or straw-like and my scalp felt clean. To give you some background I have a very dry scalp and dandruff, so I like detoxifying products, but most just seem to take it worse. After using this shampoo my scalp did feel soothed and hydrated without feeling greasy.
I then proceeded with my usual hair products and routine. There weren’t a ton of differences after just one use, but I didn’t expect a miracle. Haircare usually takes a few times before you really start noticing results.
After just three uses, my hair and scalp were in such a better place! My hair is smooth, hydrated, and silky without feeling weighed down. It air dries a lot smoother and less frizzy. Split ends are reduced and my hair looks great.
My scalp is where I have noticed an even bigger difference. I hardly have any dry skin or dandruff and it is less itchy and irritated. It seems like it doesn’t get greasy as fast and it just feels and looks healthy. My hair color was not affected at all either.
I was honestly shocked at the results, as typically you need to use a shampoo and conditioner to see a difference. Changing up just one product in my routine made such a huge difference that I am hooked!
I highly recommend this product for all hair types, sensitive skin, damaged hair or just someone who wants to go more natural in their routine. My interaction with the brand was very positive and I am loving their sustainability and recycling initiatives.
Give this product a try, you won’t regret it!
