Spoiler alert: Both of these product are from the SAME brand. I know, I can’t believe it either.
Last weekend I ventured into my local Sephora looking for a new lip treatment. I am usually die hard obsessed with my Laniege Sleeping Mask and my Clinique Pout Restoring Night Mask, but I just needed something with a little more oomph.
As it’s gotten colder out, my lips just soak up every product I put on, but they still don’t feel fully moisturized and plump. I was about to purchase the Fresh Coconut Hydrating Lip Balm, but I was swayed by an associate to test out Bite Beauty.
I have only heard wonderful things about Bite, but never really got around to trying their products out. They are strictly lip products and I usually lean towards other makeup items. Lip products just add up too fast in my collection!
Anyway, I was told that I needed to try Bite’s Agave Lip Mask. I was told it had clean ingredients and is much richer than the Lineage and Clinique masks combined. Music to my ears.
Bite is a Canadian brand that contains only natural and organic ingredients. None of their products contain gluten, sulfates, parabens, phthalates, or petrochemicals.
After hearing these fabulous things of course I swiped one of those testers right up and applied some of the Agave Lip Mask to my pout. The result; immediate hydration, relief, and plumpness.
This lip mask is thick. Like we’re talking vaseline thick here. But that’s what I think makes it work! You only need a small amount and your lips will get the hydration and softness that they need.
This lip mask actually comes in 6 different shades. Making it perfect to use at night and during the day if you would like a little bit of color. Bite offers the following shades:
- Lavender- pale pink
- Maple- sheer bronze
- Champagne- rose gold pearl
- Natural- clear
- Smashed- sheer candle apple red
- Candy Cane- sheer pink/red with a mint punch
Ever since purchasing this product I have hardly had to use any lip balm during the day and my lips look more hydrated than ever before. They are not chapped whatsoever and they just look really healthy.
I know this product will be a staple in my routine all Winter long!
Even though your lips may be perfect from the Agave Lip Mask, you still may want some extra coverage of moisture and protection during the day. That’s where the second product from Bite comes into play. Bite’s Agave Lip Balm.
As is with the mask, this product is thick. Definitely the thickest lip balm that I have ever used. I recommend warming it up a bit on your lips before spreading around.
Once you have the application down, this product glides over your lips with a thick layer of hydrated goodness. It quickly repairs any damage and brings your lips back to life. It’s also the perfect base to a matte liquid lip or other lip color.
Using this during the day and the mask before bed has transformed my lips into juicy heaven. My lips feel so great and I don’t think I can ever go back to any other lip products. Hydration station over here!
The full size lip mask is $26 on it’s own and the lip balm is $18. I think that is a little steep, but that’s where these holiday sets come into play to really give you a good sampling of products for the best price.
Bite currently has two different holiday kits with these products. The first being the Agave Treat Trio Mini Agave Lip Mask Set for $18. You get three agave lip masks in Natural, Maple, and Candy Cane.
Each tube has 0.18 oz of product, so total you get 0.54 oz. If you bought one tube individually, it only has 0.52 oz. You are definitely getting the better deal with the set. Not only do you get more product, you also get to try out three different shades for $8 less. Who doesn’t love that deal?
As for the second set, Bite offers the Sweet Treat Agave Lip Care Set. There are two options for this set, Holiday Hangover (lavender) and Party Prep (champagne).
Each set contains an mini Agave Lip Mask, mini Agave Lip Balm, and sample size of the Agave Sugar Lip Scrub.
I ended up purchasing the Holiday Hangover kit, as I wanted to try all three products. You already know the lip balm is in my purse for during the day and the mask has a permanent spot on my nightstand.
This cute little jar of three products is only $12. Yup, twelve bucks. Such a great deal and you get to try out three products. Even though it was just a sample, the sugar scrub is amazing as well. Definitely interested in trying out more of that.
Honestly the products just speak for themselves. They are made of quality, organic ingredients, and do wonders for my lips. I do not foresee any dry, chapped lips in my future, and you won’t either if you pick up one or both of these items ASAP.
Highly recommend grabbing a holiday kit, much better deal and you get to try some other products.
