After our conversation I realized there are a ton of tips and products that actually work that need to be shared with the world!

So here we are, a blog post speaking to those that are tired of having to use dry shampoo 12 hours after you wash your hair. Those of you who want to rock the super textured, beach waves, but your fine, thin hair just won’t hold any volume or texture. To those of you that are just plain tired of spending money on products that don’t work and break the bank. Let’s tackle this together!

Take your Vitamins

If you take biotin, that’s great. It provides wonderful benefits for your skin, hair, and nails. This vitamin supports keratin production that leads to stronger hair, skin and nails.

However, you may need to be supplementing that with something a little more. We like strong hair, but we are looking for thick and full hair!

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, I am not a doctor nor do I claim to be. You should always consult with your physician before taking any supplement.

Ditch The Harsh Hair Brush

Believe it or not, your regular hair brush is probably a huge culprit in making your thin hair even worse. Typical hairbrushes have stiff brushes that pull and break the hair. Even running it against your scalp can cause thinning at the root.

Go out and get yourself a Tangle Teezer or Wet Brush. These brushes work to instantly detangle wet or dry hair. The bristles bend and flex throughout the hair without locking into tangles, so you won’t experience breakage or cuticle damage.

Splurge on some silky pillowcases

You may have never heard this before, but using a silk pillowcase has fantastic benefits not only for your hair, but also for your skin! Using a standard thread count pillowcase creates friction from tossing and turning, ultimately damaging the hair follicle. Silk allows your hair to move around more smoothly, meaning less frizz and breakage.

As for your skin. a silk pillowcase is much more gentle on your skin. It is also said to help reduce facial wrinkles and keep your skin healthy and smooth.

Massage that scalp

Massaging your scalp with some hair density serum can really provide some wonderful benefits for your fine, thin hair. Massaging the scalp helps to increase blood circulation and strengthen the hair root. It also conditions the scalp and softens the hair.

Get some high-strength shampoo and conditioner

Your typical shampoo and conditioner just probably aren’t cutting it. Go for something that is high strength and actually promotes new growth. My favorite like for progressed thinning hair is by far Nioxin. The brands has multiple steps depending on your hair type, so you can really customize it.

Find products that work

If you have thin or fine hair, you don’t need a ton of products that will just weigh down your hair, making it look even worse. Yes, you will want to use some bodifying products, but don’t overdo it.

My absolute favorite to thicken up the hair and give me major volume is the Bed Head Superstar Queen for a Day Thickening Spray. This spray gives volume, body, and lift without leaving a residue. It also strengthens, moisturizes, and conditions. The perfect product in my opinion!
