Welcome back to Haley’s Beauty Room! I have been MIA for the last few weeks from posting, so super sorry about that! I took the Law School Admissions Test, so I was very focused on that. Now I should be back on the old routine!
Anyway! Since it is already the end of the July (holy moly), it is time for another favorites post. I did get a chance to try some new products this month. So if you’re interested in what I loved this month and what didn’t really work out for me, then keep on reading!
I am not even joking when I say that I think this is best body lotion to ever exist for sensitive, dry skin. This product is affordable, deeply hydrates, and doesn’t irritate my skin.
To be honest, I’ve even used this on my face before and did not have any issues. It even calms my eczema flare ups. This product is fragrance-free, paraben-free, ethyl alcohol-free, dye-free, hypoallergenic, noncomedogenic, oil-free, phthalate-free, and aluminum-free. It contains a Triple Oat Complex and shea butter to soothe and moisturize for up to 24 hours.
Best part, it is only $7.99 for a huge bottle at Target. This product is a must for dry, sensitive, and/or itchy skin!
For this product, I will keep my description short, since there is a dedicated post coming to this item. However, this being the only stick foundation I have ever tried, I am in love. This product covers well, is travel-friendly, blends like a dream, and has a great shade selection.
Plus, you can’t go wrong with it being $9.00 at Ulta!
If you are looking for a swimsuit that covers up your problem areas, but flaunts your confident spots just enough, this swimsuit it great! I love that it’s a one piece to cover my tummy, but the cross top brings the right amount of sexy back to the look.
The swimsuit is comfy, comes in a few colors, and honestly looks good on all body types! I purchased a mauve-y color that appears to be sold out, but there are three other colors to choose from. Plus, it’s on sale at Aerie right now!
If you are looking for a coffee that is a little more boujee than your typical cheaper, store brand, I would highly recommend the coffee from 1850. This coffee is actually made by the company that produces Folger’s, but since it is a bit more expensive, the quality is better.
I found this on sale at Target and it has quickly become a new favorite. I typically lean for a medium or light roast, and the light roast from 1850 is fantastic. There is a ton of flavor without being bitter. It’s very smooth tasting and I could honestly drink it all day!
I only have one quit it this month and honestly it’s not that bad, just not for me. I have been in the market for plant-based protein powders, as whey protein makes me breakout horribly. I love Vega and Olly, but they can become expensive fast.
I was at Target and had a coupon for the Aloha protein powder, so I decided to give it a try. I will say that out of all of the plant-based powders I have tried, this one has the best ingredients. It doesn’t contain lactose, artificial sweeteners, colors, or preservatives. Most plant-based protein powders have stevia, which I don’t mind, but this powder has coconut sugar, and I think that’s where the problem ultimately lies for me.
No matter what you mix this powder with, the coconut sugar just gives it a grainy taste that I can’t get over. It also messes with the vanilla flavor a bit too and makes my protein shakes taste a little woody, if that makes sense.
I will use up the rest of the tin just because even with a coupon it was a little pricey, but I don’t think I will repurchase this product due to the texture and flavor.
What did you love this past month? Anything you’d recommend to me? Let me know in the comments!
