Okay so I have to be honest here, most of the time when I head to the gym I am not looking cute. I’m there to sweat my butt off and I really don’t care what I look like. Typically I’ve got on my comfiest sneakers, a ratty, old t-shirt, and some compression pants. That being said, as I’ve progressed on this fitness journey and started to see some really good results, I have been on the hunt for cute AND practical gym outfits.
I’m sure you’ve seen all over Instagram and Pinterest those models wearing the most perfect gym outfits and looking great. I love the outfits and and their perfectly toned bodies give me a ton of motivation. However, most of time what they are wearing is not practical at all for the gym. It’s either not practical or it will cost you an arm and a leg to buy one item. Today, I want to avoid both of those things. I want to share some cute, practical, and relatively affordable gym clothing/accessories with you all. Let’s get into it!
A colorful, simple sports bra is never a bad thing. Especially when you pick up this medium impact version from Nike. This affordable choice sold at Kohl’s will keep the girls supported through basically every form of physical activity.
It will even support you when it’s a rest day and your cardio consists of picking up that next slice of pizza!
Fun, affordable tanks are the way to go when heading to the gym. These tanks from Tek Gear have cute designs and colors, but are practical for the gym.
As good as those girls look who wear just sports bras to the gym, I’d realistically go for this option!
You always need a good pair of compression pants to up that gym performance! These “Just Do It” ones from Nike have just the right amount of sass and practicality.
I don’t know what it is, but I can only wear no show socks. I am so crazy about my socks it’s so unnecessary. I love these colorful no shows from under Armour! Since most gym outfits are monotone in color, add some brightness back to the outfit with these.
If you are looking for affordable compression pants or capris, Target is the number one place I would suggest. They make some of my go to workout pants and they never disappoint!
I think the mesh insert on this pair adds some badass to your gym outfit!
Do I even need to explain this one? Shiny, glittery, AND for working out?! I think I’ve died and gone to heaven. Seriously, how have these not come into my life sooner?
Theses are awesome, affordable, sold at Target, and will really spice up your fitness game while still being practical.
When it’s a long workout and my hair is a total mess, I like to just throw on a hat. Under Armour makes my favorite ones as they are light, simple, but come in cute colors.
This coral choice would go great with the shoes I mention below!
Glitter and tacos, a girl’s best friend. I am obsessing over this water bottle! A water bottle is a necessity at the gym, but who says it has to be boring?!
Pick up this adorable, fun choice from Etsy!
We all know you’re thinking about pizza when you’re halfway through your StairClimber session. No? Maybe I’m the only one.
Pick up this cute bag to keep things light and fun in the gym!
As far as clothing, this is the most expensive item on the list. I included these only because if you are going to invest in one item, it’s the shoes. A good pair of training shoes makes all the difference in your fitness game.
These trainers from Nike are colorful, cute, and offer just the right amount of support!
This thing is a serious life saver. It has helped me in my fitness goals so much, it’s unbelievable. I have only had this for a few short weeks (thanks Mama Bear!) but it has taken my fitness game to the next level.
Accurately tracking my steps, calories burned, sleep, water intake, food intake, and exercise has allowed me to really tailor my fitness goals. I really can’t say enough good things about this product!
I have no clue why I don’t already own something like this, but is on my next “to buy” list! Most women’s workout clothing does not have pockets for you to put your cell phone in. I don’t know about you, but listening to music is a vital part of my workout routine!
By using an armband like this, you can securely use your cell phone, listen to music, and not have to worry about it flying off the treadmill when you’re doing a HIIT run. Clearly I know from experience LOL.
This one is great because it is affordable and water resistant!
What are your must have items for the gym? Anything you’d recommend to me? Let me know in the comments!
