Welcome back to Haley’s Beauty Room! So if you haven’t heard the great news, which I would be shocked as it is all over social media, Makeup Revolution just released a concealer that rivals the cult favorite Tarte Shape Tape. Yes, it is that highly rated.
The concealer I am talking about is the Conceal & Define Concealer. After seeing so many positive reviews, I knew I had to get my hands on this product. I picked up two different shades because I wasn’t sure of my color and I tried them out for you. This post will explain my experience, as well as breaking down every aspect of the product. So, if you’re interested in knowing all the facts on this possible Holy Grail concealer, then keep on reading!
This concealer claims to be lightweight, yet provide full coverage. It is said to cover blemishes, even skin tone, and hide dark circles. It claims to settle down to a matte finish that will not crease or accentuate fine lines and pores. It is supposed to be very high in pigment, long wearing, and can be used for contouring as well.
This concealer comes in 18 different shades. That’s right, 18! It ranges from fair to deep in cool, neutral, and warm undertones.
C1 – For fair skin tones with a neutral undertone
C2 – For fair skin tones with a yellow undertone
C3 – For fair skin tones with a pink undertone
C4 – For light skin tones with a neutral undertone
C5 – For light skin tones with a pink undertone
C6 – For light/medium skin tones with a yellow undertone
C7 – For medium skin tones with a peach undertone
C8 – For medium skin tones with a yellow undertone
C9 – For medium skin tones with a peach undertone
C10- For medium skin tones with a golden undertone
C11 – For medium/dark skin tones with a beige undertone
C12 – For medium/dark skin tones with a neutral undertone
C13 – For dark skin tones with a warm undertone
C14 – for dark skin tones with a cool undertone
C15 – for dark skin tones with a neutral undertone
C16 – for dark skin tones with a warm undertone
C17 – for dark skin tones with a neutral undertone
C18 – for dark skin tones with a warm undertone
I purchased shades C1 and C2, as I am super fair.
Price & Where to Buy

The best part about these concealers, they are only $7.00. Yup! 18 different shades to choose from and it will only set you back seven bucks.
I purchased mine from Ulta Beauty, but you can purchase these directly from Makeup Revolution at TamBeauty.com.
Application & Wear
After initially applying this product to my skin, I did notice that it is extremely pigmented. The formula is thicker, not as thick as like the It Cosmetics Bye Bye Under Eye, but I think it’s thicker than the Tarte Shape Tape.
I didn’t find the thickness to be an issue, just something I thought I should mention. I have super dark circles, so I applied a lot of product. If you just want to highlight a little or cover something minuscule, a tiny amount will go a long way. I also like the larger doe foot applicator, as I can get more product out faster.
Since purchasing, I have blended out this product using both a damp sponge and a brush. I do not have a preferred method for this, however, when my skin is drier than normal a damp sponge looks the best.
If you need full coverage and use a damp sponge, you will need to use more product as the sponge will soak some of it up. If you use a brush, you will need less product to achieve a full coverage look. It all just depends on your preferred application.
This product does wear for a decent amount of time. I find that this creases on me a lot less than the Tarte Shape Tape and doesn’t look as faded by the end of the day. I do always bake this concealer under my eyes, as it is so thick. I would highly recommend doing that or you will probably have issues with it creasing.
I am 100% down with this concealer. It is super pigmented, hides my dark circles really well, blends out easily, wears quite a long time, and is only 7 bucks! It comes in 18 shades, which is amazing.
I hate to say it, but I think this concealer is all around better than the Shape Tape! I really think it lives up to all of its claims and applies like a dream. I really don’t have anything bad to say about this product. You can’t go wrong with the price, color selection, or performance. I highly recommend!
