Welcome back to Haley’s Beauty Room and for Day 13 of Blogmas! We are about halfway to Christmas, yay! Recently in Michigan we got our first big snowfall of the season, so I am currently bundled up on my couch drowning myself in moisturizer.
Seriously, the dry weather here is no joke. Not to mention that skin gets dry and itchy. So today, I wanted to share a Winter scrub recipe that is sure to cure your dry, itchy skin and also doubles as a great gift this holiday!
So, if you would like to know how I make my Whipped Gingerbread Body Scrub, then keep on reading!
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup coconut oil
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 3/4 tsp vanilla extract
- 3/4 tsp cinnamon
- 3/4 tsp allspice
- 3/4 tsp ground ginger
- 3/4 tsp nutmeg
- 2 capsules Vitamin E oil (acts as a natural preservative)
- Cute jar to put your contents in
Combine sugar and oil and mix until a light, fluffy texture. Fold in the other spices and transfer to your jar.
That’s it! For an added bonus, here is how I decorated the jar to make it Christmas appropriate for gifts.
I purchased some glittery red ribbon and hot glued a piece around the top of the jar. Then, using these printables from Mommy Musings, I cute out each piece and carefully glued to the top of the jar. You could also print them on sticker paper to save you a step.
Now you have a great gift to give or you have a fabulous scrub to save your skin this Winter. Enjoy!
