Models Own Supernatural Palette

Welcome back to Haley’s Beauty Room and for Blogmas Day 10! I haven’t talked about eyeshadows much on my blog, so I wanted to discuss an affordable option that contains great colors for holiday looks.

Models Own is a British beauty line that has over 650 products. They recently came to the U.S. and can be found in Ulta Beauty.

These products are good quality while still being super affordable. They are not as affordable as say Elf or Essence, however.

Today I wanted to go over their Supernatural eyeshadow palette. This palette contains 10 shades, ranging in finish from metallic to matte. It also comes with a double sided brush. Let’s break down this palette!

Price & Reviews

This palettes retails at Ulta for $17.99. Since it is considered a drugstore brand, Ulta frequently has sales on the products, such as buy 1 get 1 50% off.

As of right now, this palette has 9 reviews on Ulta and averages 4.5 out of 5 stars.

Packaging

I really like the packaging on this palette. The sleek, white compact with holographic lettering is super cool.

Plus, the packaging feels sturdy and it comes with a great mirror.

Shades & Swatches

My Thoughts

This palette is just okay. The colors are pretty, but they are powdery and somewhat difficult to blend out. Don’t even think about using the metallic shades with a brush, you will get no pigment at all. You have to use your fingers.

I personally think there isn’t enough transition colors and the mattes are lacking in shades. Granted you could buy this palette just for the metallics, but you would always need another shadow for a base or transition color.

The brush that you get in this is also cheap and doesn’t work very well. Stick to using your normal eyeshadow brushes on this one.

All in all I would say if you love the colors, then go for it. It is a decent price, but I think there are better drugstore options out there. I would say try the L’Oreal single metallic eyeshadows instead.

I ultimately did end up returning this, as I thought my money could be better spent elsewhere.

Have you tried this palette? What are your thoughts? Let me know in the comments!
