Welcome back to Haley’s Beauty Room! Do you suffer from dark circles? Does your under eye area need some love and brightening? Then you should try out some of these under eye concealers!
I suffer from super dark, hereditary dark circles. That means that no amount of eye cream or sleep will help improve the appearance of my under eye. Though sometimes, masks and creams will help a little bit.
Since my dark circles are very dark, I need a full coverage concealer that won’t make that are cakey, but one that also will stay all day long. Through trial and error, I have come to find the best concealers for your under eye area, as well as those concealers that are great for highlighting the face and covering up blemishes.
Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Dark Circle Treatment
This concealer is a great option if you have more mature skin and are looking for an affordable option that works. This concealer will drastically brighten your under eye area and give you a radiant appearance. It will also totally cover any dark circles and smooth fine lines, so you’ll be looking fresh faced and awake all day long.
This product contains goji berry and haloxyl, which are meant to decrease dark circles and puffiness over time. This product comes in six different shades and can be purchased at your local drugstore for $8.99.
Colourpop No Filter
I have talked about this concealer many times before, but I absolutely love the Colourpop No Filter concealer. This comes in a plethora of shades, so every skin tone can experience how great this is.
It covers up my darkness without appearing cakey. It also blends out super well and hardly creases throughout the day. I will be picking up more of these concealers to try cream contouring with. If you would like more information about this product, check out my dedicated post on it here.
Tarte Shape Tape
At this point I don’t think I’ve come across anyone who is not a fan of the Tarte Shape Tape. This is one of the most high coverage concealers I have ever used. It sits well on top of other foundations and blends very easily.
It also lasts all day on my skin and hardly creases if I bake my under eye area. This is a thicker consistency, so I would take that in to account when you are applying it. It can become cakey and too heavy very fast. However, it is very hydrating and radiant. This concealer comes in 14 different shades, so you are bound to find your perfect match.
Maybelline Fit Me
Another great option from Maybelline and the drugstore is the Fit Me concealer. This is one of the most lightweight and smoothest concealers on the list. It covers well and never looks cakey. I like to mix this concealer with my Tarte Shape Tape if I want to tone down how thick the shape tape is.
I also like to use this concealer on a daily basis for the office so I don’t look too made up. I would definitely recommend this concealer for those who don’t need a ton of coverage, but really want to highlight their face. Best part about this product, it’s only $6.99 and comes in six shades.
IT Cosmetics Bye Bye Under Eye Anti-Aging
If you have tried many full coverage concealers, chances are you have strolled across this product. The Bye Bye Under Eye concealer from IT Cosmetics will give you full coverage with the smallest amount of product.
It is a very thick concealer, which is why you need so little. It has a ton of pigment that covers any discoloration, but it also has great skincare ingredients. It contains hydrolyzed collagen, peptides, vitamins, hyaluronic acid and antioxidants to cover absolutely everything while making your skin look younger at the same time. This is perfect for those with dry under eyes.
I will say that if you have issues with your concealer creasing easily, make sure you blend out this out very well and you must bake the concealer. Allowing it to bake will keep it in place all day long.
This is a more expensive concealer at $24, however, like I said, you need so little that this concealer will last years. I have only had to purchase one tube so far and I use this quite often.
MAC Pro Longwear
Finally, the OG of concealers, the MAC Pro Longwear Concealer. If every concealer creases on you and you aren’t getting the coverage that you need, go for this option. It’s thin consistency and quick drying ability will mean your concealer will not move once it sets.
It is a more drying formula, so I recommend using some eye cream before application. This concealer works great to prime the eyelids, highlight the face, conceal discoloration, and so much more. You also need only a little of this product to do the job.
This concealer claims to provide full matte coverage for up to 15 hours. I pull this out when I have a special event, as it works the best and looks great in pictures. The price of this is in-between the others at $23.
What are your favorite under eye concealers? Any that you would recommend to me? Let me know in the comments!
