Welcome back to Haley’s Beauty Room! In my most recent Fab Fit Fun box, I got to select an add on product for a super discounted price. I was immediately drawn to this set as Karuna makes some of the best face masks and skincare around.
If you didn’t know, Karuna was actually the first sheet mask brand to launch in the US. Many have followed in their footsteps, but Karuna remains one of the top players. All Karuna products are paraben-free, dye-free, mineral and castor oil free.
The Karma+ Kit Face Mask Set contains 4 different sheet masks that address basically every skin problem imaginable. This set contains:
- Age Defying
It is a great way to sample Karuna’s masks at a lower price and really figure out what your faves are from the brand. I tested out all four masks and I am here to give you the low down on my thoughts and results.
This set comes in a small cardboard box. The box opens up nicely and displays information and instructions regarding the masks. Each mask is then placed one over the other.
The age defying mask in this kit is supposed to reduce the signs of aging in the form of fine lines and wrinkles. It is supposed to help restore moisture and revitalize and transform mature skin. It contains wild yam and elderberry for younger looking skin.
Being 23, almost 24, I can’t testify too much as to the wrinkles portion. I will say that my face immediately felt more hydrated and smooth. It really seemed to brighten up my complexion and give a good glow. I also feel like this helped in reducing some redness around my nose as well as shrinking some pores in my t-zone. All around I really did enjoy this mask.
The anti-oxidant mask is meant to give tired skin a glowing appearance. It should promote elasticity and make skin appear and feel healthier. This mask contains green tea extract, African chrysanthellum, and Chinese licorice.
I would 100% back up the claims of this mask. I immediately looked glowing and awake after using this. My skin looked hydrated and fresh. This is a great mask for anyone who has been lacking sleep lately and really needs a pick me up. It would also be good for those who are consistently exposed to environmental stress and need some love back in their skin.
This mask does exactly what it is called. It hydrates. We’re not talking a little bit of hydrating, we’re talking some serious moisture. I love to use this mask when my skin is super dry and crying for help. One use brings my face back to life.
This mask is clinically proven to increase hydration, promote elasticity, and replenish your skin’s moisture barrier. Dry skin folks your prayers have been answered. In all honesty, this is probably my favorite mask just because of how dry that I am. I have used a ton of hydrating masks, but not a single one works as well as this one.
This would even work for those with oily to combination skin, as it will not increase oil production and may instead help to combat it. The product soaks in to the face well and doesn’t leave a film. Definitely will be stocking up on this mask in the winter months.
Finally, the last mask that I tried was the exfoliating one. This is meant to reveal fresher skin, deep clean, and gently exfoliate dead skin cells. This mask has pineapple extract, salicylic acid, and citric acid from lemon.
This mask is an oily gal’s dream. This mask was personally my least favorite, not because it was bad, but because I have dry skin. I had to follow my use of this up with a hydrating mask just to counter the effects of the salicylic and citric acids.
If you have oily, combination, or maybe even normal skin, this would be a great weekly to bi-weekly treat for your skin to help reduce build up and treat any acne. I will say that I thought this helped with the blackheads in my t-zone as well as the pores in that area.
Price & Where to Purchase
Individually, each masks runs about $8.00. That is on the higher end, as some of my other favorites are about half of that at $4.00. However, if you love these masks, you can purchase kits for $28.00, saving you a few bucks.
You can purchase these masks on karunaskin.com, Ulta Beauty, and Sephora.
I love these masks and I love Karuna Skin. Seriously, I don’t have a bad thing to say about these products. They contain good ingredients that won’t irritate sensitive skin and will not clog your pores.
The masks actually perform as they are intended to. Also, side note, the Karuna sheet masks actually fit well on all face shapes. The have slits in certain parts of the mask making it easy to adjust them to your specific face shape. I believe they fit the best versus other sheet masks which just kind of awkwardly sit on the skin, missing certain areas of your face.
The material of the mask is made from biodegradeable wood pulp natural cloth that retains 50% more moisture than synthetic material. Again, good ingredients all around.
All in all, these are great masks and I highly recommend you try them out!
