Ahh, the sweet smell of Fall. I feel like there is a hard line between people who love and obsess over everything pumpkin spice and those who despise it. Well, based on the title, I assume you know that I am someone who obsesses over it!
Call me basic or whatever you want, but pumpkin spice just brings me great joy in this season. That being said, pumpkin spice isn’t just for culinary purposes, it goes wonderfully in a beauty routine as well!
I have mentioned it before, but I am sensitive to commercial body products due to the chemicals and fragrance that is added. It irritates my eczema like no other. So even though I love Bath & Body Works and all of the delicious body butters and soaps they release, I can’t use any of them.
Enter in this DIY Body scrub. This scrub is more affordable than commercial products and contains ingredients that are better for your skin. Plus, I’m sure most of you have these ingredients in your kitchen already!
If you want to learn how I make this delicious pumpkin spice body scrub that will have your skin ready to take on the dry weather, then keep on reading.
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup coconut oil
- 2 Tsp pumpkin pie spice
- 1 tbsp canned pumpkin
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 capsules vitamin e or 1 tsp liquid version
Melt the coconut oil and mix all ingredients together . If you opted for vitamin e capsules, you need to puncture them and drain the liquid into your mixture. The vitamin e will act as a preservative so your scrub should last quite awhile. Place in your desired jar and you are all set! Enjoy your Fall scrub!
