CIATÉ London Glitter Flip Liquid Lipstick

Recently Ciate London released metallic liquid lipstick that has a glitter flip to it. (OMG).

Apparently how these work is once you apply the lipstick it will have a metallic finish. After the product has dried down, about 1 to 2 minutes, press your lips together and once you release them you will have this glitter masterpiece.

After seeing so many gurus rave about this I basically ran to Sephora to get my hands on one (or all) of these.

The product comes in 7 different shades, all of which in my opinion will look good on all skin tones.

The shades are:

  • Candy- light pink
  • Infamous- berry
  • Hollywood-red
  • Forbidden- dark red
  • Fortune- dark purple
  • Iconic- black
  • Siren- teal

This product retails for $19 a piece, which isn’t bad for a high end liquid lipstick. Not mention it’s glittery so I’ll probably pay anything for it.

The packaging on this product is absolutely stunning. The cap of the lipstick is silver glitter that is blinding and perfect for the product. The bottle is clear with silver writing that just ties everything together.

This does have a doe foot applicator with a groove in it to assist in the application portion. I like the applicator and find that it is easier to control the product placement with this one versus others.

The formula for this liquid lip is very whipped and light. It is not as whipped as I would say the NYX liquid lips are, but it is very nice and creamy. Also easy to work with.

I picked up two colors that seemed to fit my style the best. I got Infamous, which is definitely more of a daytime wear color. I also got Forbidden, the darker berry shade that will be perfect for Fall evenings and holiday parties.

These shades are just a lot closer to the colors that I usually wear. As much as I love the teal and purple colors, I would just never wear them as they are a bit out of my comfort zone.

The pigmentation is really good and goes on quite smoothly. I will say that Forbidden is sort of patchy, especially in comparison to Infamous which is basically perfect in terms of application and color payoff.

After they dry and press your lips together, they do get glittery and a lot more shiny. However, it is not as intense as it has been marketed. I personally love the finished look and I know that I will be wearing these colors all season long.

Final Thoughts

If you dig liquid lips and glitter, I would highly recommend that you pick these up. The are beautiful, the color selection is great, the price isn’t bad, and they do wear for a decent amount of time as well.

If you like to be glam and are looking for a new lip color for the season, I would suggest you start here first! Well done Ciate!

Have you tried this product out? Do you think you will purchase? Let me know in the comments!
