Oh my goodness I can’t believe that August is almost over! Seriously, where did the time go? This month I tried a bunch of new products, some I loved and others I didn’t, but I have a few items that were my go to’s this whole month. Some new and others old.
I have had this foundation for about two months now and it really has become a staple in my collection. I have spoken about this foundation a few times before, so I will keep this short, but this foundation really does live up to its hype.
It covers well, blurs imperfections, and lasts all day long. This will be a foundation that I am sure I will repurchase when the time comes so I also have a bottle waiting for me!
Colourpop No Filter Concealer
A few weeks ago I also mentioned this concealer in a First Impressions, as it was recently launched by Colourpop. I have been reaching for this more than any other concealer I own since then. The No Filter Concealer has replaced my Tarte Shape Tape and I am loving the difference!
If you are looking for full coverage without a cakey look, then look no further. Colourpop actually did a restock of this product today and I am planning on buying more shades so I can try out cream contouring with this! If you would like to see pictures and read my thoughts, head on over to this post here.
MAC Lipstick in Angel
This lipstick has been around forever, but only recently did I add it to my collection. When it was National Lipstick Day and MAC was giving away free lipsticks I stopped by to see what the fuss was about and instead bought this color.
It is the most perfect nudey-pink for my skin tone. The fact that it is a lustre makes it even more beautiful. It is not an intense lustre but just enough to really polish your look up. I love it and I have been wearing it almost everyday, especially to the office.
Anastasia Beverly Hills Liquid Glow
Now this one I would say is kind of a cheat for August Favorites as I have not had it that long. However, I have not been able to put this down since I purchased it! It has totally replaced all of my other liquid highlights and I am not mad about it!
Again, I wrote a first impressions on this so I will keep this brief, but you need this in your life. For the dryer seasons I try to look extra dewy since my skin is dry and I know this will save me all Fall and Winter long! Check out my thoughts on this product here.
Makeup Revolution Goddess of Faith
This highlighter is ridiculous. I spoke about this in my Blinding Highlighters article, but it has taken over any of my other highlighters since I purchased this back in June. Pair this with the Anastasia Liquid Glow and your highlight will be poppin’ all day and it will never wear down.
I really don’t know how they get this so pigmented and smooth in one swipe but I love it! It is not glittery or chunky, so it glides over the skin. I will say that if you have texture you may want to be careful with this one, but all in all I love it!
Clarisonic Foundation Brush
This product I have had for quite some time now and I imagine that it will always be in my favorites. I was skeptical about this product but after seeing Tati review it I knew I had to have it! This makes any foundation become full coverage and look airbrushed.
I was so surprised about how smooth and flawless my base looked after using it that I have not been able to put it down since! I also love that I have to use a lot less product when using this tool. If you own a Clarisonic and are looking to try this product out, I say don’t hesitate and go for it!
Benefit Gimme Brow
Finally, I have been loving the Benefit Gimme Brow volumizing fiber gel. This makes doing your eyebrows so effortless and quick that I have been reaching for this every time that I do my no makeup makeup look for work. It seriously takes away the need to fill in your brows and it also locks them in to place.
My mom is actually in love with this now too and she has much finer brows than I do. I really think it is a perfect product for all types of brows and it can be customized to your needs. The only thing I would say is that I wish this came in more shades!
Lush Cosmetics Scrubee
This little guy is the only body exfoliate I have used all month! It deeply hydrates and leaves a layer of shea butter on the skin so you don’t need to put lotion on after your shower.
Not only is the Scrubee adorable but it also smells delicious and is quite affordable. You can get 1 of these guys for about $7.95. One Scrubee usually lasts me about two weeks so I make sure to stock up when I head to Lush. I definitely recommend that everyone try this out!
What were your favorite products this month? Anything you would recommend to me? Let me know in the comments!
