As you may know, I am always on the hunt for good skincare products. I am especially always looking for new body products that won’t irritate my sensitive skin. As my eczema likes to flare up at the drop of a hat when I use a new product with fragrance, I tend to gravitate more towards body items that are fragrance free.
Introducing First Aid Beauty. If you haven’t heard of the brand, they offer skin care products and makeup to target specific skin issues such as eczema, anti-aging, dry skin, and acne, all while being safe for sensitive skin. Naturally I was drawn to that and decided to try their Ultra Repair Cream Intense Hydration. WOW!
This product really is a miracle worker. It is perfect for all skin types due to its lightweight feel and moisturizing properties. To me, this product seems to adjust to my skin depending on what I need. If I am feeling oilier, this product gives me just a little hydration. If I am feeling dryer, this product takes my desert dry to skin to hydration station. And the best perk of all, it doesn’t irritate my eczema and it tends to help get rid of it faster!
The product has a whipped texture that contains colloidal oatmeal, ceramide, shea butter, and an antioxidant booster. What’s even better is that it is formulated without parabens, sulfates, mineral oil, or phthalates, so your skin won’t be clogged up from nasty chemicals.
Another bonus to this product is that it helps relieve issues associated with sunburns. I try to put on sunscreen whenever I am outdoors, but sometimes I don’t reapply enough or I’m just outside too long. Well, this summer I got a pretty bad burn and this cream sped up the healing process tremendously. What would have normally taken a week or two to fully heal was gone in about a few days and I didn’t experience any peeling! There was also no itching or intense pain from the sunburn.
All in all, I really do believe in this product. I can use it everywhere on my body, even my face, and feel totally moisturized all day. If you’re looking for a new moisturizer for your body or face, and you have sensitive skin that reacts bad to most products, definitely check this one out. It is more expensive at $36 for 8 oz, however, you need so little of this product to do the trick your tube will last forever.
