First Impressions! Colourpop No Filter Concealer

As some of you may have seen, Colourpop recently launched concealers! This is so exciting as Colourpop was typically known for their eyeshadows and liquid lipsticks. After seeing multiple reviews about how fabulous this concealer was, I just couldn’t resist. Plus, this concealer is only $6.00! SIX DOLLARS.

I was only able to snag one color, as they sold out in literally minutes, but you can be sure that I will be purchasing more of these babies!

The packaging on the new items from Colourpop is just adorable. They are this baby pink color with silver lettering and white horizontal stripes on each side. I personally think it’s a great look for Colourpop’s products and it definitely seems different from what a lot of other brands are doing.

The container for the concealer itself is similar to that of the Tarte Shape Tape. A small bottle with a screwable top and a flat, doe foot applicator. The cap of the concealer is white while the bottle is clear with silver lettering.

This concealer has a lightweight feel that is super easy to blend and build up. It does dry down to a matte finish but it doesn’t look cakey or dry, even after you bake it with powder.  I did blend this out with a dry sponge for my first test and it looked great. I also tried it with a brush on the back of my hand and it blended out beautifully.

This concealer also has great coverage. I actually think this looks better on my skin and has more coverage than the Tarte Shape Tape. The Shape Tape tends to look a bit cakey on me no matter how little I use. With the No Filter I feel that even if I did use too much it would never look bad.

I did have slight creasing on my under eyes at the very end of the day, but it got about 9 hours of good wear before it started to break down, which I think is pretty good. Even my higher end concealers like the Shape Tape and the NARS Creamy Concealer break down on my skin after about 5 hours of wear.

Another plus about this concealer is that it performed well on top of my foundation. I have some concealers that tend to break apart my foundation or move it around and this concealer did not do that. I paired it with my L’Oreal Infallible Pro-Glow today.

Final Thoughts

I personally feel that this is a huge win for Colourpop. It is affordable, the product performs well, and I can see myself reaching for this every single day. I like this so much that when I can get my hands on more colors I am definitely going to try cream contouring with this!

Colourpop currently has 15 different shades in this concealer ranging from fair to deep dark, which I think is awesome. I hope they do come out with some more colors as well. This 100% passes my concealer test and I recommend this to anyone looking to try a new concealer!

Have you tried this concealer yet? Are you planning on getting it? Let me know in the comments below!

Until next time,
