Natural products have really taken the world by storm in the last 10 years. I’d say a huge growth was seen in the beauty industry as people become more conscientious of the products they put on their skin and the effects that came with them.
Enter in Lush Cosmetics. Lush is a company out of the United Kingdom that focuses on natural and non-animal tested products. Win win! So if you’ve been hearing all about the Lush world and the fabulous products they offer, I’m sure you’re a bit overwhelmed with the variety that they offer. As someone who is a dedicated Lush customer, I have tried almost everything from the retailer. The following are my favorites from Lush Cosmetics.
Ro’s Argan Body Conditioner
One of my absolute favorites is the Ro’s Argan Body Conditioner. I have purchased this product time and time again. The name implies exactly what it does. Just as you would condition your hair, this is for your body. This product is great for someone who just likes to get out of the shower and go without having to worry about moisturizing.
The conditioner contains cocoa, shea and cupuacu butters, along with brazil nut, almond and argan oils to make sure your skin is supremely hydrated. It also doesn’t hurt that this smells like the most magical rose/vanilla product ever. One thing that I will say about Lush is that since you are getting such high quality products, the price does tend to be more expensive than many other skincare lines. For example, this body conditioner is $35.95 for 7.9 oz.
Scrubee from Lush is this fabulous body butter and exfoliator in one. This product is used in the shower and then rinsed off to have a similar effect that the body conditioner provides. As mentioned in my other posts, I am all about that exfoliation, so the ground coconut shells and almonds in this provides the perfect amount for my body.
Scrubee also has honey, cocoa and shea butters for intense moisturizing. This also smells like a dream. You will smell so warm and vanilla-y from the cocoa butter! What I really love about this product is how the moisturizing effect lasts for quite a long time after my shower. No more itchy, dry skin in the winter or irritated, sunburnt skin in the summer. Scrubee is more affordable for Lush standards, coming in at $7.95 for 3.1 oz.
Writing about this one is making me really sad that I just ran out of it! Brb heading to Lush right now! Ocean Salt, one of Lush’s best face and body scrubs, smells like a margarita in the Caribbean. Every time I use it it’s like a vacation for my skin. This scrub hydrates, brightens, and exfoliates all in one.
Packed with coarse sea salt, coconut oil, avocado butter, lime oil, and vodka (that’s right I said vodka), it provides the biggest treat for your skin. This is great for acne prone folks and oily skin types. With dry skin I alternate this in my routine a few times a week. You can pick this up at Lush for $37.95 for 8.8 oz.
Let The Good Times Roll
Yes, another scrub type product, however, this one is gentle enough for everyday use. Once you smell this cleanser I think you’ll have eaten it all before it gets to your face. Seriously, it smells so good that I actually had a Lush saleslady eat some in front of me once. Although I can’t speak to the taste of this cleanser, I can say that this cleanser is PERFECT for dry skin.
The gentle exfoliation paired with the intense moisturization of glycerin and corn oil, dry skin folks are sure to have all of their bases covered. This product smells like ice cream and popcorn rolled in to one and it is delectable. A dash of cinnamon adds the perfect touch to this product. $31.95 for 8.5 oz.
I think one of the main things that Lush is famous for are their bath bombs. While I enjoy their other products 10x more, I do find that one particular bath bomb is great. Butterball from Lush is a buttery, vanilla scent that is sure to make you feel sensual and delicious.
As Butterball contains mainly cocoa butter, you will be supremely hydrated and glowing. Pick up one of these for $4.95….or maybe, pick up 5 because they are great.
Finally I would like to end with one of Lush’s Fresh Face Masks. Before discussing this product I wanted to bring up that at Lush if you bring back 5 empty Lush containers, you receive a fresh face mask absolutely free. These face masks are considered fresh because they make them onsite almost daily.
Cupcake from lush is a heavenly treat for oily skin. The mask helps to mattify and deeply cleanse skin without drying it out. Before I was more dry I reached for this all the time and it always gave great results. The mask contains spearmint oil, vanilla absolute, and Rhassoul mud for a perfect trio. You can choose this mask as your free option with 5 containers or purchase it for $9.95 for 2.1 oz.
